Teaching Ideas for Sight-Reading Accidental Note Tiles

  • Once your students are comfortable sightreading the regular sight-reading note tiles, help them advance to the next level with mastering accidentals.

  • Pick notes at random and place them together then have the student sight read each note.

  • For beginning piano students, mix quarter, half, and whole notes and encourage them to clap and count the rhythm of each note before playing.
