Ideas for 3-Octave Piano Stamp

You can use the 3-Octave Piano Stamp for many teaching opportunities.

• First, use it to teach 2-octave scale fingerings. Write the fingerings on each key (white or black) so students can learn them quickly. Once the student has practiced the scales, give them a quick test by stamping a scale and asking them to write in the finger numbers. If your student knows several scales, you can quiz them by drawing an X on the starting key and they must write those finger numbers.
• Go beyond major scales and teach minor scales, modes, blues scales, and more!
• Label the degrees of a scale to help the student learn scale degrees. 
• Teach open chords by coloring in the notes of a chord across the three octaves (e.g. C G C E for a C major chord).
• Teach larger chords and intervals, such as 9th, 11th, and 13ths.
• Help students learn various left hand patterns by coloring in the keys they can play. You can also include finger numbers for this.
